These forum rules have been established to help maintain a civil and friendly environment, allowing everyone to enjoy the discussions that can be found here. This page contains the Terms of Service and General Rules of Conduct for these forums, most of which are based on common sense. It is important that you read through this page thoroughly, to prevent any potential rules violations.

Terms of Service:

• By activating your user ID, you are agree to abide by these Terms of Service and General Rules of Conduct. Failure to comply with these rules may result in being suspension or banishment these forums.
• You agree that you are over the age of 13. This is due to the COPPA Regulations.
• Any behavior deemed vulgar, abusive, threatening, racist, obscene, libelous, defamatory or harassing is unacceptable. Discrimination of any kind, including derogatory comments based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference, or politcal affiliation will not be tolerated. Any posts deemed offensive will be removed from the forums and your user ID will be banned without notice.
• Mailbombing, spamming, or flooding the boards with useless posts is not allowed.
• You may only register one User ID. Multiple IDs are not allowed.
• Impersonating any other user is not allowed.
• Depending on the offense, additional action beyond suspension/banishment may be taken, including notification of a user's ISP (Internet Service Provider).
• All decisions made regarding conduct and content on these forums are made at the sole discretion of the administrators and moderators. Appeals may only be made via e-mail, and only to the administrator or moderator in question. Do not attempt to circumvent their authority. Examples of this include:
  -- Posting messages of complaint on the forum.
  -- Contacting the webmaster or other moderators and administrators in an attempt to overturn the original moderator's decision.
  -- Contacting other forum members in order to gain support against a moderator.

General Rules of Conduct:

• When posting on these forums, consider yourself to be a guest in someone's home, and act accordingly. Remember the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Respect the moderators and your fellow posters and you will be treated with respect in return.
• These forums are intended for users of all ages. Please try to keep your language tidy.
• Only one user a/c is allowed perperson, you will be required to provide a current valid email address.
• We ask that discussion of questionable activities such as infringement of copyrighted materials (ROMs, warez, porn etc.) be avoided on the forums. Any such references, including images, instructions or links will be immediately removed and may require further action.
• Do not post phone numbers, addresses, PRSI numbers, or any other form of identification, whether they be your own or that of another member. Do not impersonate, misquote, or misrepresent your relationship with any other member.
• NO SOLICITATIONS! Commercial posts are not allowed on these forums. Any such posts will be deleted, and the user will be banned without notice. If any regular contributor has something they'd like to sell or promote (by way of a commercial affiliate) they must ask the webmaster or an administrator before posting.
• Please avoid using all caps, unnecessary expletives, excessive punctuation marks, etc., in subject lines and posts.
• The forums are categorised in an attempt to organise the discussions, so please keep off-topic posts in the Miscellaneous and Random Chat forum .
• If you feel that a fellow poster has gone too far, please use the "Report this Post" link to alert a moderator. The post will be reviewed and a decision made at the discretion of the moderator and/or admin.
• Please avoid controversial material which may spark flame wars.
• Before posting, please ask yourself the following question:"Am I making a post which is either funny, informative, or interesting on any level?" If you can answer "yes" to this, then please post. If you cannot, then refrain from posting.
• Before replying, please ask yourself the following question:"Does my reply offer any significant advice or help contribute to the conversation in any fashion?"If you can answer "yes" to this, then please reply. If you cannot, then refrain from replying.
• If you don't like a thread, simply vote it a "1" and do not reply. Pointing out how stupid / unfunny / pointless you feel a thread is just a waste of space, and is itself pointless.
• Please leave your personal grudges with other forum members at the door before entering the forums. Nobody wants to read two posters constantly bitching at each other like a married couple. If someone is making you feel uncomfortable on the forums because of direct harassment, take the issue up with them in private email / PM. If it continues, publicly ask them to stop. BE ADVISED THAT FLAMES OR INSULTS DO NOT CONSTITUTE HARASSMENT.
• THE POSTING OF ANOTHER'S REAL LIFE INFORMATION IS PROHIBITED. The only person you can post real life information on is yourself. The fact that the information that you post of another party is available elsewhere (such as a whois search) will NOT be accepted as justification.
• Remember, everything you say is visible to anyone who wants to read it! If you don't want someone to read what you are saying, don't post it!
