View Full Version : Exams...
...Should be banned. Anyone agree? I've got my last exam this afternoon and I've done SFA for it. It's the first year of the course so there's no past papers, no indication of what might be important. It's got a HUGE subject area, and you simply can't learn all the material. I'm really scared of this exam. So I'm dealing with it by not studying...
Oh yeah, and if I fail, that's it, I get kicked out of uni. No repeats, no nothing.

ouch! i'd hate to have exams again, can't stand the fucking things. still i'm sure i'll have to do some next year
And now, about every two minutes, my hands fly to my head and I exclaim "Oh my god, I have to study!". Then I think, "Oh well..." and go back to whatever website I'm looking at :(.

tea, lost and lots of tea. them you'll be so busy either drinking tea or running to the jacks that you won't have time to study therefore you're off the hook
And needing to pee all the time keeps you awake as well
That's true. I must make some tea.
You know that feeling where you KNOW you're horribly unprepared? I have that.

i tend to feel like that all the time
Well, it's over now. And it was pretty unpleasant. Luckily, everyone thought that, not just me. I'm not sure that doing more work would have necessarily helped to be honest. I'd say I passed though...

That's the exact same way I feel in work. I started a new job at the start of October and it's all new to me. I sometimes feel like the dunce of the class or a helpless child some times, I'm always asking questions.
At times like that, I like to just sit there and do nothing...
It's funny how work environments have an effect on things like that though. Where I worked over the summer, the staff and management were UNBELIEVABLY nice. I was praised effusively when I did something correctly, and thanked for asking questions. In turn, I excelled at my job and loved going to work every day.
In my current job, the management are very unpleasant and act like you're mentally disabled when you ask a question. I really don't like working there and dread going in. Shame, really!
my job is mad. sometimes i feel like im really part of gang. like the fact we named the spanking new plotter they got me Talula May just there. Thanks to the senior Civil Engineers for their input into that one.
other times im kinda like, seriously i have a point here and you need to listen lads!
