Do you have ANY tips about summerjobs?
Where must I be aware off?
what are the studenttraps?

lienvdv : if i was you i'd come over to ireland , book yourself into a hostel for about a week and try to get a job. then move out and rent a house. i would either go to : cork , galway , limerick , waterford ... they are big enough cities but not too big , so there should be plenty of jobs. :D

it'll be easy to get a work visa as you are from belgium . you can try http://www.eirjobs.com/newjobs or http://www.eirjobs.com/nixers for our list of jobs that we have.

it would also be worth your while contacting businesses directly as it is so far away (10 months or so).

I've seen those sites... nothing about summerjobs. Or am I searching in the wrong department?

you'll find it hard to get summer jobs advertised on the 'net' , we do carry some but they are normally posted closer to the summer. if you are looking to do something in the mean time i would suggest that you apply directly ... try www.goldenpages.ie for addresss of companies.

Well, I thought you had to be very quick to get a job but I maybe I'm a litle bit to quick. I'll keep on searching but don't know wheiter I'll be working in Ireland. I live in Belgium and it's far away.

its good that you are highly motivated , you'll have no problem getting a job. one thing you should do is to find a friend to bring over and live and work with you ... it would make things a lot easier.
