When one person gains weight, their close friends tend to gain weight too.Having fat friends makes you fat, researchers from Harvard Medical School and the University of California says after after examining 12,067 individuals and 38,611 of their relatives and friends. In same-sex friendships, people were 71 per cent more likely to put on weight if a friend of theirs became obese. "It's not that obese or non-obese people simply find other similar people to hang out with. Rather, there is a direct, causal relationship," says Harvard professor Nicholas ChristakisSeems hard to believe tbh.

hmmm i think thats a bit of an odd one but im sure it makes sense. if you happened to have somebody you used kick a ball about with and then that custom changed to going to going for pizza or something random like that

i can kind of see where they are coming from, even tho i have only read a paragraph of the report. people who are into sports hang out with other people who are into sports. you'd never see the football team hang around with fat people in school or college if you think about it.

I guess it makes sense, but it's just that little bit too obvious to notice. I guess it's like smokers and non-smokers tend to be friends with their own 'type'.
