View Full Version : Righto - pains in funny places and no not there.
Weeelll for a few weeks now I've been experiencing some pain in my coccyx. I really don't know what it is!
My rowing machine that I use has a bit of a hard seat but I don't think it's that - and the fact I haven't used it for a while.
It hurts most when I get up after sitting in lessons/sofa. And when I cough or sneeze...
Anybody got an ideas or experienced the same thing?
Bugger. I meant "pains" not "paints" - could you change the title pleease Pablo?
"Paints" sounded more interesting! :P
so ur arse bone if shagged. well it aint uncommon to fracture it and you cant really bandage it. id recommend taking it easy for a week or two and if pain persists consult your doctor. maybe if you have a boney arse or if you are rowing incorrectly then that could cause pain.
You probably just bruised it.
Yeah probably, it just really really hurts.
I had a doctor's appointment but it just stopped hurting that day so I cancelled it. And it's started again but just not as much, so it's going away I hope. And yeh I have a bony bum, not really sure how though..:D
It's just weird; never really had a pain there before.
Yeah you can bruise the bone alright. One of my sisters injured it once and she was standing up for 2 months, she even had to do her final exams standing as it was too painful to sit.
what? are you being serious pablo?

as it was too painful to sit.
see i read that as painful to shit :P
all true DHBH. The coccyx is a very strange bone, some people say it is the remnants of a tail we once had.
Happy: that indeed would be pain after a few days ;)
but did she like tell people my coccyx is injured so i will be standing etc, how she get around it. just have image of having to throw yourself face first into bed so you dont have to sit, well i suppose one could kneel. that would be an awful affliction to have
Jack's ex broke their ass one day. funny stuff.
Weelll it still hurts, I think I might go to the doctor. But I dunno what s/he could do really.
Well maybe the doc can give you some pain killers. I would get it checked out if it is causing discomfort 3 weeks after you've noticed it. All my sister did was rest it, and didn't sit for a bit. But she did go to the doc !
DHBH : she had a docs note for the University.
