I've been reading this Irish guys/girls blog today http://www.everysecondpaycheck.com/

Where they out line their saving strategy, basically they want to live on every second pay cheque. Saving 1/2 of what they earn seems pretty drastic to me. But I guess it's a good one if you ever plan to save any money. So anyway if anyone is thinking of trying to save money maybe you can give it a read.

just had a look of the goal pages where three net paychecks was €6000.and thought they on some money to be able to do that. im hoping that was a monthly paycheck anyhow. then thought to myslef, hold on thats €2000 a month net, hence €500 a week net. and hence same wages as me and icouldnt have €6000 saved in a year let alone six months on every second paycheck. fair play to them

Anyway it's a good read. And more important it's interesting to see some one try it. I don't know if I could do it. Plus my rent is significantly higher than €300/month. Maybe I could do 1 in 3 or 1 in 4.
