Play YOUR part in helping Kilkenny to sing its way into the Guinness Book of Records this Christmas with the world’s largest carol service. KCLR 96FM and local newspaper the Kilkenny People are joining forces with Kilkenny Lions Club, Kilkenny County Council, Kilkenny GAA and State Street, to organise the charity carol service on December 17 in a bid to smash the existing world record which saw 3,837 people take part in a carol service in Medford, Massachusetts, USA in November 2004.
The Guinness Book of Records has already agreed to monitor the carol service to ensure that a new record is set, but we need YOUR support to succeed.
How can you help?
Just come to Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Sunday the 17th December with all your family, friends or colleagues and take part in the world’s largest Carol Service! To smash the record, we need over 4,000 people to sing carols continuously for half an hour. We're urging everyone from families, schools, choirs and clubs to take part in this unique event which will put Kilkenny on the map internationally, and raise money for local causes. There’ll be entertainment on the day and lots of surprise guests.
So PLEASE pass this mail on to as many people as possible and help us set the new world record!
