I hate being Sick!!!!

My friend just told me she loves being sick!! WTF??
How could any sane person enjoy being sick in bed?
She said she loves not having to go to work and getting sympathy from people!! :P

Me on the otherhand, I hate not being out and about!!
I went to college today in my sick state and just got on with it! :D

Although I have probably passed on m y sick germs to everyone in my class so they will all be out next week haha!!

So what do ye all think of being sick??

Love it or Hate it???

I had two weeks off sick last year and it was great, as I got to do a lot of things that I wanted to, plus i got a fair bit of sympathy. The matter that I wasn't really sick in the first place would probably help here.

Anyway you need to keep your mind active, if you can do that at home in bed then I'd say you'd be okay for a week or two. Permanent or longterm bedrest can't be fun.

Thought that might get a reaction! Hehehe.
If you're going to be threatening me though, I might just be safer in Cork this weekend...

fine... but you will get very sick cos you will be in cork ALL ALONE you will get sick with loneliness (no one there to give you sympathy) and then you will understand why i hate being sick!!!

I like being sick when it's convenient. I got a fever on Xmas Eve, while out for lunch and a few hours before a big party, so that sucked. But otherwise, it's great, especially when I'm at home and my mum's there to take care of me.

Unless it involves vomiting, that is. I have a fear of vomiting. The slightest hint of nausea causes me huge distress.

I'm a big baby when I'm sick, and considering my mom is thousands of miles away, its no fun since there's nobody to look after me! So I guess I hate it, though sometimes if you're not feeling so bad, but don't want to spread the germs at the office, its nice to be able to stay home and relax, like a free mini-vacation.

eugh, i generally don't mind being sick as long as it isn't to bad. broken things are fine cause i don't see that as being sick, just being able to get time off work. hate migraines. they are soooooooo the worst things. eugh

I don't like BEING sick, but I do like everything else attached to it - getting to stay in bed eating toast and drinking lucozade :D and watching telly and no work, it's wonderful!!

All this talk is making me wish I was sick... Maybe then I'd have an excuse not to have to do all this bloody work :nope:

i still dont get why you drink lucozade. yeah its an energy drink.. but it doesnt release the energy over time, does it? its just sugar..

It's standard "I'm a sicky" fare :D My mam used to make me drink it whenever I was sick, and apparently, it's a Mum standard recipe!

lucky me have no fear of chucking up, years of training my stomach can chuck up on compand. brilliant for the diginity! have thrown up ib nearly every street in dublin, have nearly been arrested for chucking up in day light in grafton street,
maybe it;s the years of well unhealthy obsession but holds no fear. it's great to be able to throw up to get the day of work, v handy. but does wreck the teeth

And hurts the stomach >.< But I'm with you, I'm not bothered by chucking up either - I have such a light stomach it happens me ALL the time.

Ack, but it tastes so disgusting and it feels foul. It's like having chunky, acidic soup in your mouth. And then there's inevitable crying that comes with it. Why does that happen? DAne Cook has a very funny sketch about vomiting!

Love ginger ale but I'd hate it flat. That said ginger's very good for the ole tum. Flat 7up is defo the job for when you're feeling poorly.
