From BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4665254.stm)

The guy who does the voice over for little britain and was in Dr. Who, will be part of a cool new service for reading text messages for BT. I'd say it'll be pretty cool.

Rude words

The service also recognises common text abbreviations such as "gr8" and will translate "xx" into "kiss kiss", while "xxxx" is "lots of kisses".

BT says there are no barriers to what Baker's voice can say - including rude words. Pretty cool eh ? Send a text message to a landline and it will be made into speech for the person. Handy !

pity it's not sean connery's voice.
you'd be sending texts just to hear him reading them!

ive been sent a lot of texts. its quite annoying actually. especially if you have more than one person living in your house, and the text is not meant for that person. but the phone does keep ringing in you dont answer
