These kinds of things rarely get a reply, but I thought I'd share seeing as how journals are still brokeded!!

Recently I've become an art fan, certain types! I've been playing Magic, and it's only the last few months I've been notiving the amazingness that is some of the artists involved. Obviously, a lot of it is massive angels and things (Pristine Angel, (http://www.fischart.com/assets/art/artwork/Games/magic/pristineangel.jpg)Razia, (http://www.donatoart.com/magic/razia.html)The quintessential and extremely famous Serra Angel (http://www.cabalcity.com/angels/artwork/index.php?file=./Greg_Staples/Serra_Angel_Greg_Staples.jpg)), it's also about spells, fantastic locations, etc.

In my comings, I came across my new favourite - a guy called Stephan Martiniere. If you haven't heard of him (and I hadn't), he was the concept designer for I, Robot. Check this baby out!!!

Somewhat, yes. Sketched then edited. Technically, he'd have painted it online too!! check this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=mtgcom/daily/mc22) out - it's an article by the guy in Magic who is both an artist, and is in charge of the flavour of the cards (complicated process - lol!) - it's all about the advent of digital imaging etc. Very informative, and some nice pictures by Scott Fischer too :)
