View Full Version : Egyptian/Greek/Roman Gods
Does anyone have an interest in any of the topics mentioned above?
I love Ancient Egyptian stuff. I think it is really interesting. Like the story of
how the earth and other gods and goddess were created. fascinatin stuff.
..... At first, there was only Nun. Nun was the dark waters of chaos.....
i like the norse stuff better
I like it all. Norse is really interesting, with the idea of there being 9 worlds and all.

I'm into allllll of it, Egyptian and Norse beign the best.
Man, Age of Mythology was sooooo aimed at me!
Sobek is like the coolest God, but Thoth wins my vote, along with Loki :)
Osiris is my fav - which i suppose is obvious:D
Also like Bes, he was kinda cool in a freaky way.
And Bastet. MEOW!

Dunno, Bastet always bored me, and the authority on Egyptian gods shows us so - she only got a tiny mention in Stargate SG-1 ;)
Apparently in the middle of the Nile, they built an island and on the island they built a temple to Sobek :) My esteemed other half said it's amazing :D But I didn't see :(
Hathor always rocked my sox too!
EVERYONE loves Anubis :)
eugh, anubis. no i don't lol.

Places on your list:
Cairo (pyramids, but it's an awful city)
Luxor (all the temples!!)
Aswan (you can go to Abu Simbel temple from there, which is in Sudan these days, they took it apart piece by piece a few decades back as they were building the Aswan dam and it would have destroyed it, so they took it apart and rebuilt on higher ground!!)
Dahab (just 'cos it's awesome and you have to say hi to Khaled the painter from me!!)
i would love to do a cruise on the nile. i'd say that would be fantastic!
