View Full Version : can eatting to much salads be bad for you
all i seem to be eatting these days now is a salad. now i would have one for lunch in work and one a dinner time and have a small amount before i go asleep
can anyone tel me if this is bad for you
eating too much salad no but eating nothing but salad is not a balanced diet at all, not nearly enough carbohydrates in that I would imagine, mind you I'm not a nutritionist
i jus seem to be addicated to salads and pickled onions like
maybe you're up the pole ? ;)
Anyway as ciarán said, just salad would not be a proper healthy diet. Salad itself is good for you, but you'd need to eat other stuff too. Have you tried like a pasta salad ? At least you'd get carbohydrates from that.
no dont plan to i tried it before the pasta jus takes the nice taste away from the salad ha
i love pasta, cold or whatever. salad in general aint too nice. you got some salad dressing on that? eatin much bread and cheese, drinkin milk, muching on fruit??
ni i jus like the salad with a mix of mayo in it like tere is pickles in and scallon and peppers in it like its a mixed salad

Eggs are good for protein and go well with salads. Also eat plenty of fish (especially the oily ones, yum yum), you can add 'em cold to a salad. And carbs are your friend, to a certain extent...:)
salad is great....as a starter

I don't understand lettuce I have to say. It seems a waste of time and is bloody difficult to successfully stab with your fork!
its nice as a snadwich filler
it's good when you have to eat but you're not hungry
or when you are pretending ot be good
salads are v good, the whole works - lettuce (more than one kind), baby spinahc, cucumber, beetroot, tomatoes (cherry one), baby onions, radishes, parmesan chees, sunflower seeds (toatsted ones), sundried tomatos too!! nummy...
