Saw this film 'City of God', in portugese 'Citade de Deus'. Its a Brazilian film, and features life in a Rio de Janiero suburb. The suburb is really a slum built to house some of the poor people of Rio, and is more like a ghetto. Its a pretty raw film about drugs, police corruption, life for the residents of this slum, and growing up as a child there. It is based on the true story of a youngster called Rocket who's ambition is to be a photographer, and therefore to escape this slum life. The film is made in the Tarantino Pulp Fiction style. I'd recommend it highly, it gives a very good insight into Rio slum life.

it is an amazing film!!!truelly is,quite hard to describe, but is a must to see
Absolutely fantastic show; everything in it so well-done that it's hard to single out any particular aspect of it. The only thing about it that vaguely disappointed me was that there wasn't any capoeira in it - but that's me being picky and thinking "Brazil = capoeira", rather than a criticism of the film.
I have a poster of it on my wall but I haven't seen it yet. I keep meaning to
