Crispin says BORING!!!!! He HATES Red burn decks, but he's a Johnny, so he's so biased.

We're not sure if we can afford the nationals (2 weeks time here) Crispin's got a nice infinite deck fun stuff!!

I'm dying to know how you're managing the Myojins. I REALLY want to make a Myojin deck, but...

i NEVER play red myojins. the perfect opening hand would be:

1 red myojin
1 furnace dragon
2 shoals
1 raging goblin
1 mountain
1 random card.

goes like this; play mountain, play reging goblin, attack, play shoal discarding red myojin, play shoal discarding dragon. deal 20 points of damage on your first turn with raging goblin :)

i do however have a green deck that has rapid mana acceleration. get the green myojin out. wyrd harvest yourself for a ridiculous ammount and then remove the counter to play all creatures. i got all 5 legendary dragons and 2 ancient ooze out in one turn with it

well i dont enter competitions or play much anymore(mainly just with friends) but it seems you have a really good deck to end the game in four turns but thats being overconfident it really depends on your opponents deck and as proof i had 3 life left in a game and my opponent had 37 i won on my next move but it looked as if he had one. its amazing how one card could screw up your plan. so dont get too cocky in yourself

oh i know all too well

and the turn one win is dependant on me drawing exactly the right cards. also if my opponent has any of the shoals in his hand bar the red one, no turn one win for me

le Crispin has these words of wisdom:

"Isochron Sceptre is too slow for tournament play unless you're dropping counterspell or Orim's Chant on it. Can't see them being useful. If you REALLY want to make an impact, you would want land destruction. Molten Rain is your friend!"

this is standard. no orims chant or counterspell

i have a land destruction deck. turn 4 and it removes all of one type from the deck. i play isochrons on the shrapnel blast. with about 12 artifacts in the deck it works.

land destruction deck:

4 stone rain
4 molten rain
4 myr landshaper
4 splinter
2 dingus egg
2 zo-zu the punisher
3 steel wall
3 vine trellis
4 rhox
2 sowing salt
4 creeping mold
12 mountain
12 forrest

it worked all well and good but it was too slow. someone destroys the myr and im fucked. the red deck is more reliable
