the fireworks were shite on new yrs eve ... they are holding out til 8th 4 the whole Capital Culture thingy.....still they sud have given us a gud new yrs eve!

any one going to the opening cermony? all tickets are sold out.

ya all the tickets are gone but they say they mite have more, there were people queing at 7.30 in the morning out side supervalu to get their tickets. i mean what are they planning at this capital of culture thing,it must be pretty special to have people up at 7.30 on their day off work to get tickets for it. and if you didn't get a ticket they are planning on having big screen tvs around town for everyone to see whats goin on.

National Lottery Awakening Ceremony and Fireworks is set to not only awaken the people of Cork but will awaken interest around the world as Cork 2005 officially begins. Awakening will bring to life a huge serpent stretching over 600 metres of the River Lee in an explosion of light and fire with water effects, pyrotechnics, music, image projection and physical theatre


there'll also be a street carnival and stuff

st john's will be covering the event for the day

hey yea i tickets are all sold out but i have my friends got tickets sent out to them so looks like ill be travellin to cork tis weekend
