What song to play when your dead? I was thinking Mozart's Requiem and "Take me out to the ballgame" just so I can mess with people

My alternative is 'Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. :ghost:

What about you?

Well that could be a problem if you're buried in Ireland these days Pablo. Think priests are bringing in regulations about only hymns being payed and stuff. (Although maybe that was only in one particualr parish/diocese I'm not sure.)

My mum wants "Keep me in your hearts for a while" by Warren Zevon.

I don't know what I'd have!

Although I do have this great orchestral piece at home that i'd probably play.

Dunno really!

i know my eldest bro said about 10 years ago wen he was 18 that he wanted "good golly ms molly" played 3 times at his funeral and if he doesnt wake up after that he was surely fucked.

For me id like a mix of v sad to make them cry, v odd and v funny so in no particular order or choice.

i hate the way funerals are all sad and depressing events, i know they are depressing and sad but thats only one way of looking at it. when i die i hope people will have a party in my honour to celebrate my life and crossing over to someother place. just a small church service then for close family and real friends, the party will be open to all.

the 2 songs that will have to be played at my death party along with all my fave songs will be hallelujah the jeff buckley cause that will sum up the sadness of the occasion and jump in the fire by metallica cause i dunno if i'll be goin up or down so i might be jumping in the fire after death.

Hallellujah by Jeff Buckley for me too. Also, because I'm a loser, Flying Without Wings by Westlife, Higher by Creed and to be religious, Nearer My God To Thee. Ohh, and also My heart will go on from Titanic. I want to see everybody crying!

have wake me up before you go go and have an open coffin at the funeral, just as people are leaving have your body be spring loaded to jump up just as peole are leaving for the grave yard, go out with a bit of a laugh.

i've got to go with higway to hell or shot down in flames by ac/dc. i'd also have for whom the bell tolls by metallica.
dunno if i actually want a big proper funeral. i've been to far too many of em over the years so why have another. i'd agree with eoin and have a massive party. it's been done before in my house for a funeral and it'll happen again. oh and a huge 3 day long wake

. . . have firestarter by the prodigy.Laughing my ass off! :D Great choice. Me? I think the first three tracks of NOW 775, if it is released by then. :P Or to be more prosaic, anything by Bono's grandkids would do. :)

Well, I've had a think about it, so I think maybe 1000 words from Final Fantasy X-2 (so purdy).

Although I'd love to have something like the "you've died" music from Super Mario Brothers or something.

Hmmmm!!!!

Crispin is laughing and say that I'd have If My Heart Were A Ball It Would Roll Uphill by Marillion, but while a cool idea, I think not ;)

Oh God nothing by Michael Bolton, it'd end up looking like something out of Kill Bill ;) Whitney Houston, that counts for you too. AND Marty Pellow. *shiver*

I think a better question is, what songs would you rather not have at your funeral?!

None whatsoever!!

I meant "what songs would you rather not have at your wedding" >.< But I suck and was drunk, so yeah.

I think I'm going to want to have something like Frontier Psychiatry by the Avalanches at my funeral. It's mental!! Scare the bejeezus out of you!

I just thought of a different song that I want at my funeral. It's called "I'll be seeing you" and was sung by many people, including Billy Holiday and Bing Crosby. Those of you who've seen the Notebook will know it. Defo!

really difficult choice.....
well something like
"Hallelujah" but i'd use the leonard cohen original version.
"you raise me up" by ronan tynan or josh gorban but not the westlife version or i'll haunt everyone
Rolling stones ..... "get off my cloud" or "sympathy for the devil" or "paint it black" or "can't always get what you want"
U2... "sometimes you can't make it on your own" or for a kleenex moment "all i want is you"
then the gram parson and emmylou harris duet "love hurts" or any thing from love is hell album by ryan adams
