Stupid Amazon :maad: . I ordered a copy of Kenneth Branaghs Hamlet from them last week, and it arrived yesterday. The movie is 4 hours long, but as I was watching it today, it seemed to be moving too quickly. I checked the back of the box, and they'd sent me an edited version of Hamlet, only 2 hours long! It never mentioned that on the page when I went to order it, and when I checked just there, there are reviews which say that it's an editted version, but I'd seen the movie already, so I hadn't checked the reviews. When I looked again, you could indeed get the full 4 hour one, but now I'm stuck with the 2 hour one. It's still good, but I need it for my Leaving Cert and this version left out major scenes and important quotes!

The moral of this story is be careful what you order! Make sure it's definately what you want. I hadn't even known there was a shorter version. Feckers :rolleyes:

amazon take stuff back i'm sure. just selotape up the box it came in and post it back with a note explaining what ya want. shouldn't see any trouble. just ask for the other one.

Nah, the video had shrink wrap on it that I took off. I checked and it's not valid for refund now. Also they don't currently have the full lenght one in stock.

amazon are a bit odd like that, a bit overpriced if your not after electronics too. they're ok for finding something that you may not be able ot find or order in town, theyre grand if your'e lazy too.
