RTÉ reassessing You're A Star show
RTÉ has said that it is reassessing the 'You're A Star' show following the disappointment of the Irish result on Saturday night in the Eurovision.

An RTÉ spokesperson said the broadcaster was reviewing the series to ensure that Ireland performs as best it can at next year's Eurovision.

The spokesperson added that 'You're A Star' is a hugely successful programme for the national broadcaster.

Tonight Ireland's Eurovision entry Chris Doran will perform at a free open-air concert in Waterford to mark his return to the city.

Well an arguement can be made that we are funding it, through paying the license fee, so in effect should be entitled to view our opinions on what shows they fund with it.

Effectively they are, I like rte, it’s probably the station I watch most and when they keep showing you're a star, and you're a star reunions and you're a star go shopping for shoes, I don’t have much choice in what I watch

everyone knows that it was set up to find the most talentless people in the country to enter in a pointless competion(when did israel join europe?) it's designed so that ireland won't win. it costs a fucking fortune to stage, brings in very little money and puts incredible pressure on the local communities in which it is staged

me has trouble finding jackets that fit nice. i'm quite broad across the shoulders. xl is far too small and the the arms on xxl are too long. think a normal leather jacket would do for persuasion purposes? i have a nice battered one of them

To a certain extent it can't be helped.... it like the natural progression of a conversation! I just think it's a little unfair that the newbees get totally slated for it while us old timers can do what we wish! However I do think the new you're a star people got to boraden their horizons and start integrating with the rest of the board and stop stuffing final 4 websites in our faces!
