View Full Version : Free fridge thermometer from Food Safety Promotion Board
If anyone was interested... saw a report during the week on RTE about the Food Safety Promotion Board offering fridge thermometers...
A fridge that’s not cold enough is fertile breeding ground for bacteria – yet it’s often difficult to tell how cold your fridge is because so few have built-in thermometers. To help you set your fridge at the recommended 5oC or below 'safefood' is giving away 50,000 free fridge thermometers...

I did too, but I bet it'll be terribly anti-climactic. That said, I LOVE getting stuff in the post. And it doesn't happen often enough at all!!!
I'll have details of a free (blue) t-shirt tomorrow. I must fish out the old email. The one I got says put pythagorous in the corner.
for some unknown reason I sent away for it too...it's hypnotic.... lol

Aw, I don't get one! All thermometers have been "disseminated" (to quote the web site). Oh well.

To scatter widely, as in sowing seed : disseminated
such a great word.

Mine's still going strong in the fridge. The mother thinks it's the greatest invention since sliced bread.

mine is still in the fridge too doin a great job and helped me prove a little theory thing of mine that no one else in the house believed- the temperature on the door and front of the fridge is a good bit warmer than the back of the fridge. i know the cold milk always came from the back.
Mines weird. Its not very clear. All the squares are more or less the same colour...
