A CORK art gallery has landed one of the world’s most prestigious exhibitions including work by Rembrandt as part of its celebrations as European city of culture in 2005.

The Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, which has in the past shown works by Picasso and Louis le Brocquy, is the only gallery in the British Isles to have secured the priceless collection of paintings and drawings by Dutch masters.

The exhibition is on loan from the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam’s most famous art museum, which is shutting down for four years for renovation. The museum plans to send much of its collection on tour during the period

i was in the rijksmuseum, and the van goffe . 2 be honest it board me but then agen im not really an art lover, it was 1 of those things if your in amsterdam you gotta go see kind thing. needless to say the last few time i was in amsterdam i avodeded things like that like the plage! got it all in on the 1s veist.

did you know that amsterdam is famous 4 drugs and windmills but y? there is only 2 fucking windmills there!

then if you ever go to amsterdam got to that museum. the place is packed with paintings. i mean there like 2 r 3 storys to the place i think:wakko:

There is still no date as of yet, but I suppose it is a year or so away.

Belly : Dali is a cool, "oeuf sur la plat sans la plat" is amazing, it is the one where he paints an raw egg dangling from a string and captures it brilliantly. Or the elephants reflecting swans , or the one about his mother are all memorable.

i'm not much of a person for art but i know what i like and that was unreal. gonna give it a visit again at some point when have more than just a few hours to see it. it's the kind of place that needs a whole day
