View Full Version : Drink doesnt do girls justice
I know this may sound hypicritical as i know how bad blokes can be too but they just dont mix. Those who know me, they might know what im on about!most people agree too, that its just not attractive! Also girls drinking pints...bit dodgey?! anyone agree ?

Well, you see, the thing about that is that a pint will set you back €4, and you get a pint of alcohol. A Smirnoff Ice will set you back about €5.50, and you get 275mls of alcohol... So it's really about quantity. At least for me.
Are you trying to say in your post that for girls to look attractive, they should sit in a bar drinking Coke? Or not drink at all? That's a bit ridiculous, isn't it?
can explain how we don't mix? the pints thing i can kinda see but some pints suit some girls

i donno . i think so what? 2 be honest i have never givin it any thought. i have bought many a pint 4 a girl.
Well there were two points in my post.
Alcohol + girls , and how they (don't) handle it. And how its more often than not, not that fetching.
and then there was the
Pints + Girls, just that it doesn't seem so feminine (to me).

well its your view.... ill give you that.. but i dont agree with it.... but at the same time sometimes pints dont suit lads..
Pints are better value... and in future pablo.. what you could do for your girl "if she doent slap you in the face" is buy her a pint and bring over a 1/2 pint so she can pour it in... is that more fem???
your out to wither have fun or get pissed how cares what you drink from just aslong as its clean and under 5.50??

so anyway pablo what happened the other night that made you post this?
Paul Richard Thaddeus Savage!! I am shocked. You may not have realised it but I'm actually a girl...(I hope that isn't too much of a shock to the system hubby.)

thaddeus?? yeah women and pints. all my friends drink pints, most of the time, so that dont seem strange. now women chugging pints like theres no tomorrow, then i'd get a bit worried....
Ahem. Are you trying to start a fight, Pablo? :p And by the way I disagree.
Right let me clear some points then.
Drink doesn't make people (girls and guys) look any nicer/sexier etc. i could have mentioned guys but I ain't interested in them .
I always associated pints as being a mans drink, thats all. Same way Gin & tonic would be a chicks drink (I know ciaran drinks G&T at times).

Well I'm not feminine anyways so |I drinks my pints! I wouldn't have it any other way! Pints!!!!! I don't chug them like there's no tomorrow but no no no I wouldn't have anything else. I like have a big drink in front of me, a little sissy glass won't do.
That said I do like me Dangerous Dave's form fredz. Hmmmm. But they're yummy, but I'd prefer a PINT of it!!!

That's funny... I always would have said G&T was a mans drink. It's what all the men in my family drink...

Stealth Pablo, master of subtlety!:p
It's really a matter of opinion, what a girl is drinking (or what she is drinking it from) has never had an effect on how attracted to her I may or may not have been. Still, a woman who is so pissed she need her friends to hold her up does not appeal tro me in any way, regardless of what I thought of her beforehand. Same applies to us lads though, I suppose.
This one not really easy to answer though. If a girl I know, get on with and really like gets plastered drunk I don't loose interest. Hell, chances are I will end up carrying her home and putting her to bed (by herself I might add, I am a gentleman you know). I would do the same for the lads. Always, always, friends first. Lifes too short for burning bridges.
i always drink pints, the taste nice and arecheaper than wkd. if someone asks if i want a drink i'll say a wkd cos i cant afford it myself!
nobody ive met has a problem with drinking pints. drinking pints doesnt mean a woman isn't effeminate.
being effeminate is a part of every womans psyche, just cos she doesnt drees girly and drinkis pints doesnt mean shes not a woman.

I think all Pablo is trying to say is that she might not "appear" as feminine while sucking down a pint of whatever, not that she would be any less of a woman for doing so. In his opinion anyway...:p

I would tend to disagree with you pablo, many of my friends drink pints and it doesnt bother me one way or the other, its just moving with the times.....
As for alcohol and girls, I dont really understand
Although one night not too long ago I was out and saw a girl drinking from a Bulmers Pint Bottle, that was kinda........interesting not in a bad way but just that Iv very very very rarely ever seen that!

from personal experience girls are much more annoying and awkward to mind while drunk. you can just threaten to smack a guy for acting the bollocks and it usually works and it's much easier to manhadle then into to cars etc. no need to be gentle or anything just throw em in and strap on the seatbelt and remind them you'll tear ema new one if they throw up in your car. girls tend to be awkward and mouthy when all u trying to do is bring them home safe
Drink is the best introductory tool to the opposite sex. It is necessary in the western world where most peoples marragies aren't arranged by their parents.
Alot can be said for the theory about Beer Goggles. :D

bit of dutch courage maybe:umm:
i defo shouldn't be allowed get drunk, get mucho embarassing :emb:
but generally , i dont see the problem with one or two.
Well, in honour of you, Pablo, I stayed away from the temptations of beer tonight, and drank blue WKD, malibu and pineapple, and some Smirnoff Citrus twist and lemonade. Oh, and a tequila slammer.
and you were home and all to post at half ten ? Maybe it isn't the best road so ;)
I met one very drunk and happy "Lord Raath" last night , or was that me ? :emb:
I was home because I went out at half 6, and everyone was moving on to a place that I'd need ID for, so I left. Plus, y'know, I was too cheap to pay for a taxi and made my mum come in and pick me up, so it had to be kinda early.

I've moved on from pints (they made my tummy hurt) but i still defend the right of the female types to have their pints. as far as image goes, I think it represents a stronger woman - a woman who can drink her pints and not give a fuck!!!

Yes, I remember this, vaguely. In fact, due to the obscene amount of time I spent in the pub over the holidays, I'm supprised I only ran into you once! Or did I run into you more than once? It's all a bit hazy...:emb:

at the end of the day a pint is a drink and they all go down the same way.
i was looking for a holiday thread and found this.
pablo bought me a pint there the time he was back, a lovely pint it was too, had i known this i dont know could i have drank it! ;-)
all i can think of now is over christams and pile of us all very ladylike and perfect in pub with significant others and myself and ciara mac o connell chugged a pint in ten seconds. the only time ever. i was so sad coz the bar closed. we must have looked like such wagons. at least the boyfriends shielded us from society.
pints or red wine or whiskey, then theres somedays you just want to sit on the garden wall waiting for the postman with a can and a woodbine
Ah the old ones are the best... and the trying to reply to a post as it grows while you're replying
Still on the pints, try to stay off the small drinks unless it's a really mad night, and I still have no problem with women drinking pints!
I wonder how Pablo feels about this now since he kicked it all off...
Almost 3.5 years later.... hmmm I don't know. ;)
Living in Germany has maybe made me a little bit more immune to the whole thing to be honest. I've seen old Grandma's drink multiple litres of beer in a sitting
My point, I think at the time, was why cover a beautiful girls face with a big pint glass, she should have something like a bottle, then I can see her ;) Anyway I don't notice any other girls now that I have such a great one.
Hah I thought you might say that! :P

Now he must think "Why cover it with a pint glass, when you can cover it with a mass glass instead..."
For those not in the know, a mass would be a full liter of beer in a big heavy glass mug...not just a measly pint...;)
I still love a good ol' pint!
I despair in Edinburgh, though, because none of my friends really drink beer, and I hate being the only girl with a pint, surrounded by wine and vodka.
