MORE than 600 jobs will be lost following a decision by the US multinational 3Com to pull its manufacturing facility out of Ireland.
Sources close to the computer network equipment manufacturer said staff at the plant in Blanchardstown, Dublin will be informed of the decision within days.
The computer company, which has received more than €17m in IDA funding since it opened its doors in 1990, has reported massive losses in successive years.
Hmmm... i'd imagine seeing it in the newspaper would 'inform the staff' Still I suppose it's better than getting a text message.
