Wine Puke

I think anyone whos ever drank wine to get langers has had an experience of this, or is it just me?
I hold my drink well, it runs in my family, but last night we had a wee house party, where only wine was available :(
so we drank about 3 bottles of this shite, and as there was only 3 out of 5 of us drinking, we soon got a bit tipsy. now i can drink a lot of vodka, or a lot of beer without puking, i can even mix drinks (although thats never a good idea), but for some reason it seems i cant hold wine.
Wine puke looks and feels like your pukin up blood. :)

I'd say wine might be hard on the stomach and hence such a bad feeling when wretching .

what? i have no idea what you meant there. We were drinking wine because, basically, they were all drunk when they came home so they decided wine would be a good idea. it was nice while drunk, but the sickness is horrible, thats all im saying. in fairness i did manage to fend off the puke until everyone was in bed asleep in their alcohol induced comatose states. Another factor in the getting sick part was probably that i was up until 6am drinking the shite. never good drinking that late. also it was home brewed by some dickhead friend of the family who decided to make fucked up strong wine, it tasted stronger than any wine on shelves.

yes but lorna when your a drunkard like me you need wine because a. it is cheap( well cheap wine is cheap) and b. it is horrible, thus fulfilling any drunkards needs.

Wine is a lot stronger than beer! Drinking two full glasses of wine is equivalent to drinking a full glass of straight vodka... but it doesn't taste like it. I've always had a weakness for red wine, which has led to some situations similar to what was described here, you get a better idea of how much you can handle as you go on, it's fine once you get used to it

had a good time, and it was worth it. i just found it strange that wine made me sick easier than vodka. the only other drink ive had that trouble with was cider, which makes everyone sick.

lets point out wines is in and around 13% most of the time and vodka is 40% and some beers can be 15% :wakko:

Cider is my drink.. it has never mad me sick... NEVER!!
i had a quite night in,got my idea from the new galaxy chocolate ad.. i had the choc and an extra it..some west coast cooler.a sort of wine that tastes lovely! oh the cheapest and niset when is lambrusco... agree!

i'll happily have a dozen pints of cider and be fine. no puking and no hangover. then again i've been drinking it for years. coke probably worse for me anyway

white wine is like a tiny dose of rocket fuel - i go hyper-mad for a while, then fall asleep - it totally knocks me out.

rose/blush/zinfandel - just perfect! no sick,no unconsciousness,no hangover, and yum!
