Freakfm is now officially in test mode on 107.4..
If you can pick it up where you live please reply to this post saying where you are and how good/bad the reception is in your area..
We are not covering the whole city yet by a long shot, but give us time and we will be back full steam ahead people

I live near Roco in Rochestown, and I can hear quite good enough... Its a bit fuzzy but thats what it was like the last time it was on.... :p :cool:

I picked up FreakFM with little trouble on college road. Great stuff!
Grrr it took me bout 10 mins to find the actual post reply button...grrr bad msg board :mad: neways i tried and i cant get freak fm out in farran(not farranree). looks like ill be paying a visit to me sister near college road. mwah ha ha haha :D

I can hear it, near ballinlough. But it seems not up to standard with the playlists, it seems mostly like nu-metal, bad idea, we don'y want freak turning into a mini+ skater station.
some international station called rab fm was on 107.4fm last night , they were playing weezer and other cool songs , but they added some dance near the end .
they had requests from surrey , netherlands and cork city , so go figure :confused:

I heard many storys about the school in mayfield, very wrong storys :( .
listened on the way into to college (10am saturday) and there was a female DJ on too , who's she :dot: ??
good selection of music , my dad loves the cranberries , and bob dylan .

i can get freak in ballincollig now but it's a very poor signal and my tuner can't determine the signal strength cos it's so weak but it's a start

I got a nu HI FI and i tuned it into freak and i was geten it fine no static or nuten and then i turned it off and when i turned it back on i was getten some cind if god station god and i think its a sign.
I like talken like willow from buffy.

dude i get ESTUARY RADIO - COUNTRY AND WESTERN *Shudders*
make sure you ariel is as long as possible . perhaps get a long wire and attach it to the end of it and run it around the room a bit . The bigger the ariel = better signal (up to a point obviously, but did you ever see the CB ariels ... thats how they work , ofcourse they have longer wavelength so travel further but thats a different story ;))

a cb radio has a longer travel distance then your guys thing?????what are you guys using a walkie talkie?
no no .... just saying that Citizens Band is for longer wave lenghts , thats aids easy communication for people all over the world as the waves can go around things easier . what freak uses is staandard FM , range .. its 107.6 ... but ye knew that one.
