View Full Version : metallica last night , a review.
Metallica were absolute class last night!
They definately are showmen, absolutely no doubt about it!! Highlights for me were One, Nothing Else Matters and Enter Sandman is some tune to end things with! Never expected the fireworks, but they really added to the show!
When they started playing fuel and next thing a blaze of fire across the stage. Brilliant absolute class and I for sure will be heading to see them next time they are back!
Did anyone else think it was really packed?? I suspect they sold more tickets than they should have.....
For a gig that wasnt sold out there was no space whatsoever. The stands were completely packed. The stading arena was packed from the stage to the back wall. You couldnt swing a dead cat in it. If you wanted to ;)
Linkin Park were utter bull scutter....
*now to my bed*
nice quote from some dude on the way back to town after - linkin park = backstreet boys with guitars.
the darkness were awful.
tallica ROCK!
was stuck standin behind all the tall ppl at the back but still had a ball! it was a bit packed even back there

Thank you Dublin, see you soon! We had approx 35 000 people in the crowd, and I must say this was a METALLICA crowd. Everyone was singing along, dancing along, headbanging along, and in general having a blast. The setlist remains the same as during the Summer Sanitarium tour. "
and i was 1 of those nutters! ahhhhh class enter sandman was class:wakko:

yup, have to agree with you all, absolutly brilliant gig. metallica were fantastic, i got up to the front barrier, about 10 feet away from the band as close as you can get. when the fireworks went off the first time we were all blown back by the heat and the force of it, every song was played almost perfectly. one word to sum up the gig: wow
the darkness i thought were fantastic, what a show man the singer is. get your hands off my woman, i'm still singing the song.
they were just brilliant.
as for linken park, those poor guys. i like the rest of the 12+year old world am not a fan of the park, but what they do(pop maufactured nu-metal) they do very well and they proformed well. they did not deserve the treatment they got, all the booing and bottle throwing. but they did win over a good load of the crowd and there was less booing and more cheering towards the end of their set.
an overall fantastic show.

i was on the barriers at the font aswell.the whole time my face got burnt from the heat of the fire works and flames..it was so amasing and im still in shock.. did anybody else notice that the pitt area was full with cork people.. i saw there was at least 100 people in the pitt area with no bands.. including myself..so thats why the pitt looked packed. oh i wish i was there again.

I got my mates wrist band and her boyfriend came in with me then he took it wen tback out to get my other mates and so on..
paroniod off my head incase i got thrown out so my hands where in my pockets all night.. but i got a wrist band in the end.
if there was so many cork people in the pitt and also all around..dont you think they should have there next concert in cork like a private show jsut for me in the comfort of my own bedroom.. oh dream!
they really are class showmen even the techs one of my highlights was seeing the massive rack of metallica amps pushin forward from the back of the stage frm where i was in the pit it was class.they have a great way with filling in between and introducing songs........give me an 'm' give me an 'e'....ye know what im talking about if ye were there
