ET , him her or it

Just wondering what you think about the famous ET . (this conversation came up in a drunken conversation over the weekend) None of my friends could seem to have any clear arguements about it. One mentioned that because ET was dressed up in a dress then it has to be a girl, and that it was attracted to Elliot !

i'm thinking et's a he.
just seems more like a guy. but maybe his alien species don't have gender and so he's neither, but he still seems more like a guy. i've never heard anyone think of et as a girl.

its immpossible to assume its either a him or her in our minds.
For all we know females where 'its' from could very well have male reproductive organs.
Its impossible to call,in my opinion.

ET's a girl. I once read an article saying how it was a homoerotic piece of filmmaking. Sad tyhing was, it was so funny I've had it in my had that ET's a big mincing girly ever since.
