Hi... Orlie here...Studying Programming in ITT... Currently trying to drill OO-Java into my head... sucks.
Object Orientated Java (isn't it all object orientated ?).
Study for a programming exam isn't the easiest. Normally I just hit compile and hope for the best, obviously the better you get a programming the less and less you need to debug. We had silly exams where we had to write code on paper ! And they expected it to be indented properly and everything.

Fecking OOP - drives you mad - what I hate is when they give you a long piece of code, and then ask you to first say what will happen at run-time, then document each line! So annoying having to go back and do it bit by bit...

Ooops guys! I posted a new thread introducing myself. I didn't look properly, so please forgive me and allow me to introduce myself here. I am kissing kitten, an Aussie woman who loves all things Irish. I have just finished reading a book about Ireland by a guy called P. O'Brian. It was a great travel book and he talked about a "fekkin dolphin" at Dingal I think it was. I loved it and learned so much about the Irish people and their wonderful country.
There's no problem with starting a thread, it's always welcome. You should try and get a hold of McCarthy's Bar (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0340766050/qid=1110020127/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_11_1/026-7544878-6401231) by Pete McCarthy if you're interesting in funny travel-type books about Ireland. It's well worth a read!

Hi I joined today. I was ust tryin to find out how a 17 year old can celebrate the leavin cert results, but I started to read some of the posts and i got interested......... so I joined! Why is almost everyone here from Cork?? Not much to no about me, I'm animal crazy (I have 5 cats, 3 kittens and 9 dogs includin rottweilers and alsations!) Thats about as interestin as I get I'm afraid!
We're all from cork because it started out as a message board for cork people and expanded a bit.

Then the second night a drunk threw his key into my window box (even though I was a storey up!) and kept throwin stones at my window, I didn't know what the hell was going on. Then somehow he got into the B&B and tried to kick in my door :eek: . Funny to look back at it now, but kinda scarey at the time!

50 miles to my east is Little Rock, Arkansas. This is our states capital. As a holder of a conceal weapon permit, I feel the need to carry all the time when in Little Rock.
So far this year, they have had 27 murders. I will defend myself.;)
It's sad that where my son-in-law is stationed in Iraq, is safer than our state capital.

concealed weapon is a good idea.... there is some areas that you need to be armed like a bodyguard, but does it not increase the incidence of violent crime.
anyway here in uk they tend to carry knives which are more lethal than guns as with the removal of the knife you cause twice the damage, sevre more blood vessels compared to a gun's bullet.

Little Rock Police are investigating the cities 29th homicide of the year. Just after 7am Police were called to Marcia Lane in Southwest Little Rock where a black male was found shot to death in the front seat of his car. Police have not released the name of the victim and are looking for a suspect.
Will they find the suspect? Prob. not.
do they ever find the murder in blanchardstown, coolock, finglas in dublin?
anyway they'd be out on bail in 5 minutes!
