An Illinois man in need of cash has sold the back of his head to an internet company. For just $7,000 (£4,500), CI Host, a Texan network services firm, has turned Jeff Nelson into the world's first human billboard, by tattooing an advertisement onto the nape of his neck.
Mr Nelson, who wanted money to set up a shop selling swords and knives, had advertised his head on online auction site Ebay.
Under the terms of the deal, he has to keep the five-inch-square tattoo in place for at least five years.
As the mainstream advertising industry slumps, such cheap promotional stunts may become more common............................"
