Just walking around there last night I saw that they have a massive range of lunch stuff that would suit any palatte. I bought some of their pasta lunches, with chicken , sundried tomatoes and peppers. It cost €2.59, which ain't half bad seeing as it was rather healty and filling.

Marks and Spencers stuff is also yum for lunch but their prices are a bit out of my league. They had some salad there the other day costing over €5 and it was just for someones lunch. Also I find to get any decent sandwich selection from M&S, you have to be in early in the morning as the best ones are normally sold by 11am.

what would be a good place in the english market to get food ? I've been to the farm gate for their sandwiches and they are lovely , nice little tub of mayo and relish to go with the sambo.

if you down oliver plunkett st and head in by the side of the crannog (or is it now the qube??), you're facing iago (eh, tasty also might i add). turn left, down past the delicious fish-smoking stall (mackeral with mustard and piri piri mmm) and past o' connell's fish then the back of the olive shop is on the corner. they serve sandwiches with fresh ingredients from the market, roast vegetables, hummus, etc. be quick though, they're generally sold out by about 2pm!

Great directions :eeek: . Cool , this is now added to my list of things to do before I head east to deutschland. There is alot of great food places to be discovered in the english market.
