Being the delightful and caring citizen that I am, I gave up free time on this here rainy Sunday to go in town and collect for St. Vincent de Paul, money and donations of Easter eggs for underpriviliged kids. Care to learn how much we got? Nothing. Not one single ounce of charity from the Sunday morning couples who wear matching outfits <pass me the bucket...> or worse, her wearing his clothes *shudder* and shop in Marks and Sparks <the bucket again please> whom so fondly passed by giggling <my! the bucket is nearly full> about last night's shag and who loved who more <drowning in my own vomit> Also got BOMBARDED by foreign students, with their matching GIANT backpacks <I mean really, how much DO they shoplift with those things?> a few dirty old men and a scary individual in a giant illuminous yellow coat who insisted on repeating the last word he said twice. And they all donated nothing. Now who said charity was great?!? Cos she <lets face it, it probably was a she> is a lying bitch. :mad:

why pick a sunday morning ? surely that would be the quietest time in town? even a week day morning would have been better. Maybe if you went around by the churches in town you would have met some nice christian folk. Also it was a pretty pissy day, in cork, so people tended to stay at home.

dunno bout goin to churches, for the past few years i been doin church gate collections the numbers seem to be on a steady decline(alhtough we seem to get more with this new euro thing)
