I spent the weekend in an brog and had a weird expeinence that inspired me to start this thread.
We where celabrating 3 birthdays in the little cubby on the left as you go in.Having a good enough time what with alochoal and beer and cake when the bar lady walks over and says
"I don't mind you having fun but keep your voices down!"
"What the fuck?"was the poilite answere.Tis was only 10 o'clock and we where just shoated at each other cause you couldn't hear each other over the speaker over our heads.Turns out the lady didn't really wanna serve people as she spent half the night ignoring people and talking to her friends.(At one point she walked outside and brought back in a bar stool to sit next to them)I have no problem with bar staff having fun but when I hadda walk half way round the pub to get bear when there is a bar next to my seat!!!!

I thought Polly wasn't in the new Fredz. Haven't seen her yet. And the DJ dude is gone. AND the MD player in there won't play long play MDs. And it's clean!
but anyway, even in her absence, Polly all the way!
Go polly, its your birthday! I love her. I met up with her one drunken night and hse tried to convince me that she gave me a ring... um no u didnt pol!

She gave me drink in new fred's so either she's working there or she justs likes to run in and get drunk.....can't say which is more prob.

I stiiilllll have not been to the new Freds.:( I think I will give it a look this Friday night. Hope I'm not disappointed...:'(
its clean and shiny. tis scary. All the same posters are there tho so its not so bad.

anyways the bouncer folk in an bróg are well nice . they left my mate eamonn (http://www.eirjobs.com/rant/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=754) get sick there on his 21st , and the bouncers allowed us to bring him to the toilet before bringing him home to clean him up a little. Its things like this that make a pub more friendly.

YA.My friend Bob(Spelled his name backwards so no-one know who he is=)was well drunk on his 18th.The bouncer where worried bout him till we told them that it was his birthday!

i love the wolfhound! dude gave me lots of free drink on my birthday! new freds...im still adjusting...and An Brog!!! its my other home!! the bouncers are great! and the couchs.. oh my god the couchs are so confy!!! was in there today and lovely lads in kilts walked in! very nice for lorna :)
i have a new person to add to the poll im not sure if hes still there but im sure manya girl will agree Chris the bar man from the All bar 1 :) yum

Thanks baby.Ya they were bastards that nite.i was left in..then my phone rang so i went back out to answer it. i was only on it for less than a minute and when i went to go back inside they said they thought i should go for a coffee and come back later.of course the wrong thing was to shout abuse at them, and its what i did.made matters much worse.but they were wankers.
thats horrible!!! but i dont think shouting did a lot of help next time kick them in the balls and run hehehehehehe:)

we were talking about leaving him in maccy dees where he was almost passed out and the security man was looking at us then when we all stood up and bob didn't he comes over and says to us hey ye can't leave that here, but we told him we always tidy up our rubbish

Ages ago, they had some good bands lined up for there too, pity about some of the dj's, just SOME not all.
As far as I know the Henry's 'complex' is being knocked down and rebuilt.
Maybe this time it'll have ventilation and fire exits!

Yes.
SOME of those DJs got themselves a rally bad rep and ppl stopped going there.
I had some great nights in there though.
Only when it was packed!!!
There was a really cool crowd in there!!!
