as i sat here wating 4 the page 2 loadi notest that my mother had the constitution out 4 some rason r other so i began to read some, and this is something i dont really like

article 40:6;ii (me think)

The right of the citizens (thas us) to assemble peaceably and with out arms.

Provision may be made by the law to prevent or control meetings which are determined in accordance with law to be calculated to cause a breach of the peace or to be a danger or nuisance to the general public and to prevent or control meetings in the vicinity of eather house of the oireachtas.

now every body get alook at the way it is worded. they can stop any assemble and get away with it.

p.s but you can always bring it 2the courts to be contested( but by that time it might be usless!

they can stop any assembly if ''breach of the peace or to be a danger or nuisance to the general public and to prevent or control meetings in the vicinity of eather house of the oireachtas''.

These are very subjective terms , so depending one the situation you might or might not be able to assemble. But I don't think that government (or the gardaí) would take away this right willy-nilly. The free the streets protest that happened last year , was deemed to be dangerous , simply by the number of people that were on the streets, and it was a nuisance to the general public on the grounds that some people's car's were damaged and the protesters were causing disruption.

its too early in the morning for this ;)

in the vicinity of eather house of the oireachtas

I think it's more a trying to stop people interfering with the Oireachtas while it's in session kind of thing...
