easily suicide , is a terrible and lonely way to go. there's not enough education about it either. loads of under 20's take their own lives each year , (esp. boys) and i think that the government should have some kinda educational policy on it. i know that it wasn't a big topic when i was in secondary school anyways(3 years ago).

i must agree with pablo. there's not enough said about suicide in irish society. young irish men are most likely to kill themselves and if there was some discussion about it maybe more of them would seek help. i also think people like the samaritions should be government funded

I would also have to agree with pabs. I had a look at the leaving cert religion book and what it said about suicide is a complete joke. But then agin, it's hard to teach people aboout how wrong suicide because different people have different reasons for doing so. The only other thing I can is to those who might be thinking about suicide is that You shouldn't give up, life can get better but only it will only happen if YOU make it better, it's not what others think about you, it's about what you think aboout yourself that matters. And this comes from someone who's been down that road.

tis always better to share your feelings with a close friend , if you can.

with suicide , i always feel sad for the person who feels so lonely before they die , that they can't share their sorrow with anyone , and they feel so isolated from the world that they have to remove themselves further from it.

Suicide is just awful.
I don't think I know anyone who hasn't been affected by it.
The people seem to be getting younger and younger.
My advice is just to treat the person sitting next to you with respect.
They could be the most outgoing person ever, but you really can never know whats going on inside their head...
Its shitty what we can put others through just by not thinking...:(

Right thanx for replying to this, the reason for this is that when freak goes back on air I will hopefully be going out in cork reporting on different things.

Teen suicide is going to be 1 of the first topics that i want to discuss seeing as though the exams are coming up soon. If you have any Qs that you want asked to the public about the subject then just email me and Ill put them down.

Also if there are any other topics that you want put forward or if you have any ideas for topics then just email me and let me know, it wud help me alot.

I think it was seven to date.Just to say suicide is no way out.I walked that path so i think i should know.There is help if you ask and althougth you may think you will be moked and go true 100's of questions you won't.There is light at the end of the tunnle.

Suicide is the most terrifying and depressing thing to ever talk about.. but I would like to say to people whos lives are recked, to dont go near it, because you have all got a great life ahead of you.
