I went to see 'Red Dragon' last week and it proved to be a very good film in spite of its reviews. It wasnt as good as silence of the lambs admittedly but it'd be hard to live up to that.
* anyone see any good films lately?
*What would be your favourite films/ones you'd recommend getting out ? :D

I've seen 28 days later last Sunday and I thought it was really good. A very violent yet very realistic movie. It's the movie that you wanted resident evil to be.
Cheers

i thought signs and 28 days later were both good movies. plenty of blood and gore in 28 days later so that was nice
I've seen Minority Report = not really good but nice for a relaxing evening.
Then, a week later, THE PIANIST which is great and very well made. Go and see !

No one famous. And briefly, deadly virus escapes that turns people into zombies.
One important thing I learned from that film is that eco-warriors should be hunted and killed before they can any more damage. Destroying the world is just not on.
Cheers
Michael
pulp fiction rocks man! I was slightly scared when I saw Marcellus Wallace getting fucking in the ass, but being grossed out comes with most Quentin Tarantino films! I knew what I was getting into !

I thaught that was best scene where Butch and Marcellus Wallace got into that fight and then Roled into the Gun Shop..
I was scared shitless when he braught out the Gimp..
I thaught it was also cool when Butch said "Zeds Dead Baby, Zeds Dead"....
Bruce Willis was deffinetly the best in that Film! :D

Ya but Bruce was full of action in it, and like had the best persona in it..
Bruce was out on his own, while Samuel Jackson
and John Travolta were like part of a clan..
OK heres some Films I saw that I thaught were good:
Aliens, (brings back memories.)
The People Under the Stairs(so crap and fucked up that its funny.)
X-Men: The Movie,
The Big Labowski,
Full Metal Jacket,
Children Of The Corn 4: The Gathering,
The Blair Witch Project,
Blair Witch: Book of Shadows,
all the "Star Wars" films, except for Episode II (didnt see it yet.)
Damien: Omen 2,
The Exorcist,
Terminator 2: Judgement Night,
Almost Famous,
Gone In Sixty Seconds,
Queen of the Damned,
Childs Play,
The Lepraquan,
and "Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors".

Way cool film. A squad of British soldiers on training in the Scottish wilderness find a wounded Special Forces captain and the eviscerated remains of his team. It turns out that the woods are habitated by werewolves, and it's the night of the full moon....
Very like a combination of Evil Dead, Aliens, Predator and The Howling. Well worth watching - even more so in the dark! Horror movies haven't scared me for a bit, as I have watched a load of them in my time - big fan of Barker and Craven stuff - but this freaked me quite a bit.
Definetely rent this movie - it's also got a damn good plot underneath all the blood, guts and flying fur. And its fecking funny.
*Note to self - must track down Ginger Snaps. No video store seems to have it, yet it came out early last year...*
NB.
Ginger snaps had an excellent soundtrack, although i sense this thread should have bein somewhere else...maybe *cough* Seen any good films lately *cough*.
hell isn't good, hell isn't good, HELLLLLLL!!!

Bowling For Columbine is in the Cineplex I think. Hate that cinema though.
As for the new Bond flick, I give it 3/10 and the 2 of those points are because I was there with my mates and 1 of those points is for the enjoyment I got from bitching about the film :)

I'd go to that with no reccomendation, the guy who made it is damn good.Hes an American who KNOWS how fecked up his country is...which is both rare and unusual.

Akira...was like wtf for the first hour and then i was like wow!!!
Last film I saw was the Omen remake, which was let down by being marginally less entertaining than the comedy "protest" outside held by the Snatch comedy crew. The kid just wasnt evil enough, sadly. (And this coming from one who believes all kids to be little bastards at heart!)
Speaking of Mirrormask, Virgin have a decent boxset - Labyrinth, Dark Crystal and Mirrormask on DVD for 30 euro. Worth a look if you like all 3 films...
I thought the Omen was quite good. Thought it was as good, if not better than the original. defo worth a watch
cinderella man was really good
omen was so mediocre. 6 or 7 scary bits and a whole lot of predictability after that. if u had seen the first one or not. i cant decide if julia stiles is great or crap
happy joy joy
19-06-2006, 10:18
ya saw the owen last night. was told when i got to the pub i was going to see it :( was not worth it. crap film. the only reason people are going to see it is because of the media campain it got
the orginal was really good with gregory peck and it was like so much that it would be impossible to build upon
saw the jacket. excellent. rather enjoyed it. go ppl for makin me watch dvd's.
(and adrien brody is rather delish for a dude w/ a big nose)
