I find it rather condescending that board moderators on here have started editing out the 'bad words' on this board. What the ****ing ****eing hell is going on? :D

Surely we are all mature enough on here to not be offended by supposed 'bad' words. Something should be done.

Offended, no, I just don't think it's necessary. There are about 20 different ways to get around it, it's just a filter which blocks certain words, but don't, unless it's really necessary, which it generally isn't.

And I think calling everyone here 'mature' is a sweeping generalisation and while it may be true of many of the members, is not true of everyone.

Having 'Something done' about it would involve convincing me and/or Pablo that it's a good idea :D

i'm sure there are other ways one can express themselves without using profanities or expletives . try www.dictionary.com for synonyms , failing that just articulate your sentences to remove the use of such types of language .

i like the fact that every 2nd word isnt fu ck etc but still arent ye going too far with banning them altogether? ppl can find away around that.

I don't see the point in it either, not everyone here is articulated(I don't mean me). Bad words are just deemed bad by people who are extremely articulate and want people to follow in their foot-step, otherwise word like **** and **** would be normally acceptable which to be honest they are.

To admins- I'm not the stupid kid that you think I am. I'm just really confused about stuff, and I over inturprate alot(mental defect). I think three steps ahead without even taking the first and just usually get it wrong. Ah well, all I can say don't judge me until you've sat down and had a proper chat to me.

i think the expletive filter is a good thing. It forces people to form a sentance without resorting to language which I , myself have been guilty of on a number of occasions.

well we all use bad words but so wot the filter may b fun 4 a while coz its new but after a while we'll get sick of it

The filters are there for a reason. You would be suprised at the numbers of people who take offence or are upset by swear words, especially sexual ones (and lets face it, all the good ones are sexual:)). Swear words are not necessary for comunication. Now don't get me wrong, when something fcuking rocked, then you want to stand up and scream, "IT FCUKING ROCKED!". But all too often on the board disagreements can get heated, and I truely love watching y'all tear strips off each other. The filter means that ye have to be more imaginative with the name calling. Keeps me off the streets anyway.:p
